Information for Guests

Roger and I are looking forward to welcoming you to The Barn for your stay.  Just to let you know we have a dog called Barker who is quite large, being a cross Irish Setter/English Pointer but very friendly and loves people and children in particular. If you have a dog accompanying you (providing there are no sheep in them) we have 4 fields that you are welcome to use to exercise your dog.

During your stay we provide most of what you require including a gas bbq (we provide the gas), bath towels and pool towels, toilet rolls, dishcloths and tea towels.  All you need to bring are your toiletries and your food.  Due to the huge rise in electricity prices, we are asking guests to be mindful of the excessive use of the washing machine and tumble dryer whilst staying in The Barn and ask that you take the majority of your laundry home with you.

Travelling up from Lustleigh Village to The Barn, please use the instructions we provide as the lanes from the village (approximately for 2 miles) are quite narrow, particularly during the summer months when the bracken grows.  Using Sat Nav can be confusing and may bring you in an even more difficult route.  If you have a large car or a people carrier, please let us know and we can direct you in via a slightly wider (albeit longer) route.  Although narrow, there are plenty of passing spaces.

On Line Shop - Asda, Sainsbury, Tesco and Waitrose will all deliver an on-line shop which many of our guests have found very useful.  We also have a wonderful village shop called The Lustleigh Dairy and Post Office, and owners Dean and Shirley would be happy to put together an order for you to collect on your arrival.  For more information on what they provide, please visit their Facebook page or email shirley-w@live.co.uk.  We also have a great family and pet friendly pub called The Cleave and an award winning Primrose Tea Room in the village which is open Thursday to Sunday, April to the end of September.

We do hope you enjoy your stay with us.  We live next door and will be on hand to show you around when you arrive.  If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Many thanks, Sue
